BOOKS

Harry Klynn writes ever since he was a kid. In 1955, at the age of 15, he sent a poem of his to “Makedonia”, a daily newspaper of Thessaloniki. They printed his poem together with a series of flattering comments. Since then Harry Klynn writes incessantly. Satiric passages, poems, novels, plays, film scripts… At the age of 18, many of his poems were published in literary magazines of that time. Until today, and apart from his satiric texts which comprise of thousands of pages, he has also written over ten poem collections, novels, essays, theatrical plays and numerous revues, movie and TV scripts. And still, few of those have been published to this day.

“One day you will read them all” says he, based on the fact that “KASTANIOTIS EDITIONS” has agreed to publish the whole of his work. Nine of his books have seen the inside of a bookshop to this day. Four poem collections, four novels, and a book with satire texts.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY NIKO
Novel

In a novel, each of us discovers his own truth which most of the times are entirely different than those he thinks his imaginary characters and facts represent. In this book everything is imaginary and all is real at the same time. Where imaginations ends, reality starts and vice versa. Individual truth, however is present everywhere, together with the compromised Polytechnic generation (The generation who fought against the Coup d’ Etat) who cashed out its struggles and visions later on.

Novel

«We are all terrorists, we don’t live enough to be something more” writes a well known journalist in one of his articles, shedding some light in the hidden thoughts and desires of Vasilis Venetis, a mighty economy tycoon. The explosion in the British embassy was just the beginning. Venetis, being trapped in the web he, himself created, decides to confront his fears and face reality in its true dimensions. In a fast and pleasant narration, the writer unfolds the invisible links between human relations which lead in every form of terrorism. Ministers, journalists, financial agents, ruthless women and other contemporary characters star in this ravishing novel.

Novel

One of the members of “20th May” gets arrested by the antiterrorist service. Twenty eight people have lost their life ever since the revolutionary “ghost” group was founded in 1975. The whole of the country lives in the beat of the events. Panagiotis Dedeoglou, an operating member of the organization watches, in agony,  his friends get arrested and patiently waits for his turn to come. Then a message comes from a person that he would never even dream he might be involved in such a group. Who is finally the person pulling the strings behind this nightmarish situation? And what is he after? Dedeoglou will not learn anything more about the organization than what they’ve allowed him to. But the Halkidiki Convention comes to verify his suspicions that Mihalis Roussos, a close colleague of the chief and founder of the “New Socialists Party” , Alexandros Apostolou, is the true leader of the group. But is he right in the end? Will Dedeoglou’s last operation help us find out if his mission is, in the end, an order or a redemption act?
